A country that beheads enemy soldiers has no place in the Olympics.
A country that rapes and tortures civilians and POWs has no place in the Olympics.
A country that bombs children’s hospitals, then strikes again when medics arrive, has no place in the Olympics.
A country that uses chemical weapons and banned munitions has no place in the Olympics.
A country whose troops drag POWs to death and shoot surrendering soldiers on camera has no place in the Olympics.
A country that is led by an individual wanted for child abductions and war crimes has no place in the Olympics.
A country that employs the Wagner Group, and is responsible for every massacre they commit, has no place in the Olympics.
Russia has no place in the Olympics.
Not under a flag. Not under “neutrality.” Not as individuals.
In 2022, 88% of Russia’s Olympic medals were won by soldiers. That’s not sport. That’s military propaganda.
If you see this, RT and like. Let the International Olympic Committee @iocmedia hear us.
Let the world hear us.

Such welcome and unwelcome things at once
’Tis hard to reconcile.

Just a note that things are looking . . . pretty cool over at the place where the heavens are azure. Found a lot of academic peeps who used to be here and some who are still here.
Most of us seem to have the same user names over there.
Check it out.
Seeing more and more people over there. If we're lucky, we'll build back the sort of community that we remember from this place several years back. #EarlyModern folks #AcademicTwitter folks #Shakespeare folks, the sky is nice over there! 🦋

This is how dictators destroy free nations. They threaten those who speak against them with death. We cannot entrust our country and our freedom to a petty, vindictive, cruel, unstable man who wants to be a tyrant. #Womenwillnotbesilenced #VoteKamala

The anti-vaxx movement was heavily amplified by Russia in their first significant info op inside the US. Now Trump, an ally of Putin's, is openly talking of putting another ally of Russia's, Kennedy, in charge of our public health. Level of danger here off the f-ing charts.

In the past hour, two Puerto Rican superstars, Bad Bunny and Ricky Martin, have posted about the 2024 election.
Bad Bunny shared Kamala Harris’s video about Puerto Rico with his 45 million followers.
Ricky Martin shared a clip from Tony Hinchcliffe’s (Kill Tony) set with his 16 million followers, captioned, “This is what they think of us.”
One of the speakers at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally today called Puerto Rico "a floating island of garbage." This is not okay. The America I believe in is richer for our diversity.
Organizing ask: I need every Boricua on here to take that rally clip and drop it in your family WhatsApps and group chats. 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
ESPECIALLY if you have family in these states. And give them the link to IWillVote.com while you’re at it.

Proud to have voted for @ColinAllredTX on the first day of early voting in Texas. This is our chance, Texas! Time to send #CancunCruz into his retirement from the Senate and make him a full-time podcaster!
