Ace 2 days w/@_BTO's fab Youth Advisory Panel & Youth Reps. Highlights of guided walk training at @RSPBLakenheath: confiding Bearded Tits, brief Bittern, 2 fly-over Ring-necked Parakeets found by @FinchleyBirder & a Clouded Yellow. Now for Nunnery clean up duty: cue Deep Purple!

Some might not think this is exciting - you’re wrong! NINE #redlist corn buntings on our wires over CC and sheep is very good news! (sound up) @_JoshHill_
Great few days spent in North Norfolk last week. Managed four lifers; Dusky Warbler @holmebirdobs , Snow Bunting @RSPBTitchwell , Lesser Yellowlegs @NWTCleyCentre and Twite at Thornham Harbour. Thanks for all the recommendations @DavidWalsh22! Can’t wait to come back!

My thoughts on #LockdownBirding in the latest @ShropsWildlife magazine, including the way that adding records to @BirdTrack gave structure, purpose and a sense of connection when many of us were mourning those aspects of our normal lives.
Grey Wagtails have been accumulating across the past few weeks at Shifnal Sewage Works.
Including this coloured ringed individual “VZ”- ringed at the same location as a juvenile on the 12/09/2018. Spotted on the 31/08/2020. Keep your eyes peeled for the @RingersWm birds!
Tern madness in North Wales ended up seeing Black, Common, Artic, Sandwich and Roseate all on sea watch by the end of the week. As well as a brief view of Osprey! Thanks for the company and introducing me to your fantastic patch @fatsnipe- can’t wait to come back.
Last week I packed up my moth trap and took it to North Wales with me- it gave me a fantastic opportunity to get up close with some amazing species from Oak Lutestring to Archer’s Dart. Brilliant to get an insight into some of the local species!

Well, that was an adventure! A run around the superb coastline of Pen Llyn with @JacksWildMedia, past stunning coastal bays, flocks of Choughs and sloppy sheep paths. 45km in just over 5hrs in aid of @bardseyobs - thank you for all the donations so far!!! gf.me/u/yj4d9u – at Rhiw, Wales

Today is @bardseyben Birthday. He is running a Marathon to raise money for us.
How about wishing him happy birthday by dropping a few £ into his GoFundMe page. All the money will help BBFO get through 2020 where we look to make an estimated loss of £20k.

Out on Fenns and Whixall Moss NNR with @Jannerbirder and @_JoshHill_ . No great photos, but this late Large Heath butterfly and at least 5 Hobbies doing some aerobatics made it worthwhile.
