I had the opportunity this summer to work on staff with Governor’s School for the Arts. GSA meant so much to me when I was a student, and I was honored to once again be part of a program that serves young Kentucky artists! #TopperTeachers #HeyGSA

I am very honored to have received the Spirit of CEPT - Excellence in Collegiality award this semester. I am so grateful for the support and experience the @CEPTatWKU program gives to me as I continue on my journey to the classroom. @DrMargarella @WKUSTE

A friend shared with me these words by Wendell Berry. I hope that I can guide my students in learning to love another both in word and thought so that they have the best chance to live in and contribute to the lasting world. @DrMargarella @WKUSTE

This Thursday was my last day at @DrakesCreekMS. CEPT 1 has been an incredible learning experience, and I enjoyed working with @JamesMargarella and getting to know his students. I can’t wait to begin CEPT 2 in the fall! @DrMargarella @WKUSTE

It’s an honor to represent both @WKUSpiritMaster and @CEPTatWKU ! Go Tops! ❤️

Today at @DrakesCreekMS , we played a Shakespearean version of the game Hedbanz to look at character development in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I had such a fun time guiding students in analyzing the characters of the play through this activity! @DrMargarella @WKUSTE

The beautiful cherry blossoms are in bloom on campus, and I can’t help but think of how as teachers, we get to watch young minds bloom each day! #CherryBlossomChallenge #CEPT #CEBS #HillTeachers @DrMargarella @WKUCEBS @WKUSTE @MsWalker_11

I’m so grateful to be fully vaccinated and have one more way I can give my students a safe and healthy learning environment! #vaccinated #healthyteachers @DrMargarella @WKUSTE

Today at @DrakesCreekMS , we got to be poets AND artists! @MsWalker_11 and I led 8th graders through interpreting Shakespeare’s Sonnet 130, analyzing its meaning, and drawing our own interpretations of the sonnet’s subject. @DrMargarella @CEPTatWKU

This week in #CEPT was all about classroom management! I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn about how I can make my classroom a safe, uplifting learning environment for all of my students! @DrMargarella

An icy driveway won’t stop these Hilltoppers from making it to our favorite coffee shop! We bundled up this morning and made the trek to @spncrsbg @DrMargarella #CEPT #BigRedSnowDay #CEBS #HillTeachers

I’m spending my snow day with @Screencastify and getting my #screencastifygenius certification. I love learning new ways to make virtual learning personal! #CEPT @DrMargarella
