METAPLANET REDIRECTS ¥8 BILLION FROM DEBT TO BITCOIN The Tokyo-listed treasury company repaid ¥8 billion of zero-interest EVO FUND bonds on November 2, nearly six months ahead of their April 2027 maturity, using cash on hand. That freed the stock-rights proceeds set aside for the payoff, and Metaplanet is sending all of it to bitcoin. Planned purchases rise from ¥25.4 billion to ¥33.4 billion. Debt paid down, more sats on the balance sheet, same capital raise.

CCC junk bonds are now yielding ~18%. Meanwhile, $SATA is still holding near par with a ~13.4% effective yield. For reference, CCC gapped up almost 6 points since January (from a 12% low). In other words, a Bitcoin backed preferred is already trading 4.4 points tighter than the weakest corporate bonds. This is just the beginning. How wide does this gap get once credit investors catch on to Bitcoin-backed Digital Credit?
