I truly pity designers that are only good at designs. Zero marketing knowledge. Zero sales knowledge. Zero strategy. They just post and hope. Must be tough fr.

POV: You have lost your spark for Design due to Ai. But you still see designers closing clients and posting projects. And you wonder how? Well it's simple, they ain't operating on the level of execution alone. But you have been and AI has unfortunately replaced you❗

Stop saying what you do❗ The market doesn't care about job titles. Share the value and transformation you bring. This is how you attract clients.

The problem I solve for clients isn't design. AI does that easily. Design is just a medium to address the underlying problem. And all I had to do to attract clients is position myself as a solution to these problems. Not as somebody who can design❗

I get lots of leads weekly. And one major thing I discovered is that these clients ain't looking for who can execute a design task I mean AI can do that better than the average designer. They come to me because of they have the assurance I can solve their specific problems.

I didn't spend years learning how to use photoshop. I spent years learning the art and essence of designing. So don't expect me sell my execution skills. I am selling what makes me unique: My Design Thinking.

One step at a time. As long as a step is taken. You'll win.

Decided to take a couple of days actively off my phone. Felt great tbh. But then I realized I haven't put enough system in place to successfully enjoy "dissappearing" The "freedom" I felt made me realize what my goal should be. I need to fix this.

Before now I usually try to justify how much a client pays me by the level of effort I put in a design. It is a very bad thing Because I get easily burnout trying to pour in every effect at my disposal. When the value of my output should be determined by the level of problem it solves not how much effect I poured in it❗

If you operate at the level of execution, you'll equate design effort to design value. When the value of the design should be determined by how much problems it solves not how beautiful it is❗

At a point I felt only Idolos could successfully make minimalist designs. Because if I try that for this client that struggled to pay me N15k he fit swear for me. The issue was that my value was tied to how much I could execute. The Idolos operated differently, a minimalist design served a purpose, solved a problem and was not just made from a place of convenience❗

Sorry to say but you cannot win AI on the level of execution. It is faster, cheaper and accessible. Where you win is by positioning yourself as a strategic problem solver to your clients not just a pixel pusher❗

The kind of clients you attract reveals your level of positioning. If clients come to you asking for "just a logo" Then you might have been positioning yourself at the level of execution not a problem solver.

The reason why you don’t see this kind of animation often is because it requires an extreme love for life and the way living creatures move. And that kind of devotion demands time, discipline, and excessive observation.
I miss traditional 2d disney animation. It's almost like a lost art at this point. It's rare to find other studios which handle animation this vigorously.

If you operate at the level of execution you start to attract clients that only wants to get a job done. You'll see remarks like "make it pop" just for the sake of Aesthetics not necessarily influenced by any strategy.
