Cooper Black is set to make his NHL debut tonight in Pittsburgh, becoming the tallest goaltender in NHL history.
The Panthers now officially list him at 6’9”, 250 pounds.
For reference, I’m 5’7” 😂
Kyle Dubas: Ben Kindel is back in Pittsburgh after collapsing on the team plane Tuesday and being treated with oxygen. Will treat him as necessary going forward.
Prospects are on the way.
Forward Rutger McGroarty and defenseman Chase Pietila have been recalled from the @WBSPenguins (AHL).
Forwards Ben Kindel and Bryan Rust have been placed on Injured Reserve.
Injured Penguins players Sam Girard and Justin Brazeau are working out on the ice before the morning skate.
The Penguins have canceled their practice scheduled for today. Understandable coming off a difficult day yesterday.
Scary news involving Penguins forward Ben Kindel.

The Hockey News magazine has its annual goalie issue out. If you have a subscription, be sure to look for my story on the Penguins’ starter tonight, Sergei Murashov. Think you will enjoy it.
