Time for a $SHROOM post mortem👇 Closed my postion out about even. Was up over 10x at one point but didn’t sell for the first 12 hours after receiving (the delayed) airdrop because as I posted, I thought it had a chance of making a $BOME type move. This obvs didn’t happen. It had all the right backing from peoole I respect and trust in the industry. Felt like a cool and unique meme. Everybody loves mushrooms and the founder has that massive IG following I noted. It checked the boxes for me. But the founder really screwed up not following the proven 50/50 playbook and trying to get creative with buybacks and burns. Which is manufactured price manipulation. This never ends well. And so far it hasn’t gone well. Moral of the story is I’m unscathed only because I was in the presale with a tiny last second positoon. But I still fumbled a real nice potential profit shooting for the stars. Re-entered later and sold for a loss when I thought maybe it would rebound but feels like vibe is dead now. I always like to talk about my wins, losses, and the fumbles. This one wasn’t great because I had high hopes riding on it. And feels like presale meme szn was riding on it tooo. Certainly it’s been sort of the last hurrah. I’m not going to apologize for bull posting about it. I was in there with everybody else on the same footing and almost everybody was excited going in. Again, big names were backing the founder. Usually that bodes well, but not always. I shrugged off some warning signs but this is high risk high reward trading. Ultimately it failed the vibe check for so many reasons. And now that I’m out, maybe it does moon. But I’m on to the next play and we’ve learned a very valuable lesson. FOLLOW THE FKN PLAYBOOK🤷
