President William Ruto Before it is too late, you must wake up and recognise the seriousness of what is happening in Kenya. The abduction of lawyers, the disappearance of citizens and the killing of people are deeply troubling developments that cannot be ignored. We have seen this chapter before under the government of former President Uhuru Kenyatta. Abductions, intimidation, extrajudicial killings and the targeting of people who dared to speak out became major human rights concerns. Kenyans should never have to relive those dark days.Your government must not allow Kenya to return to an era where people live in fear, lawyers are targeted for doing their jobs, and citizens can disappear without accountability.
The abduction of Wakili Abshir must be treated with the utmost urgency. His whereabouts, safety and legal rights must be established. Those responsible for any unlawful detention or disappearance must be held accountable.

There are few ways of telling such cultural tales better than on the big screen. Visually poetic & emotionally evocative, The Flames of Tradition is less a feature film than a cultural diary of sorts.
