Everyone thinks Leon only became righteous after accidentally killing a child. Yes, it changed his trajectory but the person he became was always in him. He knew early on that what they were doing was wrong, Franklin knew too but their moral compasses were gauged differently. Franklin was driven by the money while Leon always stood on loyalty and principle. Cissy gave her own life for her son while Leon’s own mother stole from hers. Funny how life works.
