Lots of #CanSoc faithful need to see this in pictures. Pictures built on facts. This pattern aint going away. #MLS keeps pushing revenue growth. We. Cant. Keep. Up. We need a homegrown system, league, whatever. #TFCLive, #VWFC & #CFMTL generate $170M/year for MLS. Bring it home.

1/12 Its the 3rd time this comes up: "Europe loses money too" But that doesn't explain why 🇨🇦 MLS clubs arent keeping up financially within MLS. The issue isn't simply losing money. Its losses relative to revenue, franchise growth & market performance.

11/12 MLS operates differently. It's a closed, independent league with centralized commercial revenues, revenue sharing, roster spending controls & no relegation. The structure reduces financial exposure to sporting results. 🇨🇦 clubs operate within those same protections.

Since 2015 #CFMTL has doubled its revenues from $24M to $48M while having a 10 year -$70M operating budget. Salary budget is almost double today since then & last in league MLS is unsustainable in 🇨🇦 now. 🇨🇦 markets have served their purpose to grow MLS MLS had outgrown 🇨🇦

Personally, I only support the early American soccer associations and leagues that existed between 1883 and 1986. I hand craft and paint miniature player models to stage famous matches from prior decades on a special table top in my garage to celebrate authentic soccer.
