Talking about extremism: this man, who is asking people to kill whoever "insults" the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (I.e: Shiites), is said to be currently a local government chairman in Kaduna State. We are in a deeper shiiiittt.
Terrorist targeting Muslim scholars that are against their views will not make news.
Ansaru Claims Responsibility for Killing Islamic Cleric Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka in Katsina
By: Zagazola Makama
The terrorist group Ansaru, an Al-Qaeda-affiliated faction, has claimed responsibility for the killing of prominent Islamic scholar Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka at his residence in Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The group reportedly made the claim in an audio message released on Tuesday, in which it accused the cleric of being an infidel without specifying any particular offence he allegedly committed.
In the message, the group said the attack was carried out at about 8:30 p.m. However, while the speaker reportedly referred to Tuesday as the day of the incident, available accounts indicate that the killing occurred on Monday.
Ansaru also accused the cleric of opposing what it described as Islamic teachings, although the allegations were not supported with publicly established evidence.
The killing has raised concerns over the growing threats facing religious leaders and advocates of peace and interfaith dialogue in parts of northern Nigeria.
Barrister Audu Bulama Bukarti, a legal expert who has followed extremist groups in the region, reportedly said Sheikh Masussuka had been planning to organise a major peace conference, raising questions about whether his peacebuilding activities may have contributed to his being targeted.
However, the motive for the killing has not been independently established, and the group's accusations should be treated as claims rather than verified facts.
Ansaru emerged in 2012 after breaking away from Boko Haram over disagreements with the leadership of Abubakar Shekau. The group has been associated with extremist activities in parts of north-western Nigeria, including areas of Zamfara, Kaduna and Niger states.
Its claim of responsibility for the killing underscores the security challenges facing communities in the region and the risks confronting individuals working to promote peaceful coexistence.
Security agencies are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the killing, establish the perpetrators' identities and motives, and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
The incident has renewed calls for stronger protection of religious leaders, community figures and peace advocates, as well as sustained efforts to counter extremist violence and prevent attacks motivated by ideological intolerance.
Some people are crazy.
Just read the comments under this post.
A Muslim Scholar was assassinated and some Muslims are excited about it because they don’t agree with his views.
We have a long way to go to re-orient the community.
Murder is a sin and crime against humanity. The verses of the Quran that says this is very clear.
I am just learning about the assassination of Sheikh Yahaya Masussuka, one of the most refreshing and intellectually stimulating Muslim clerics Nigeria has seen in recent years. His death has left a vacuum I do not see being filled anytime soon. He was extraordinarily different and courageous, an uncompromising advocate of religious tolerance and a society in which people of different beliefs could coexist peacefully. He was also unafraid to ask probing questions about faith and challenge imposed dogmas. I am, to say the least, devastated and frightened by what this says about this dangerous place we call our region. May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest and comfort his loved ones.
As it should be. Let him cool off in prison for a while.
It’s because he saw it as normal or something without consequence that’s why he had effrontery to chant such.
Actions like this don’t solve the big problem of terrorism as it exists but it is a good step to reorientate the community that Killing people because of their faith is intolerable.
The people that killed Deborah would have been young men like this guy just strolling the streets but because of a similar mindset will go the extreme to commit murder thinking they were justified in the name of Islam.
Lock him up. If possible whipe him 2 by 2.

There are millions of Muslim men who are responsible and treat their women right out there. But it’s one who chose to be unfortunate that you will now use to judge the rest. E ti fra ma.
I don’t always agree with @KemiBadenoch but that gives no one any right to racially abuse her.
Shame on you @Nigel_Farage and your party of racists.
Car crash alert 🚨
Sally Nugent asks Nigel Farage about Raheem Kassam's “Nigerian scammer” comments on Kemi Badenoch and his response is painful to watch.

For Halloween, I’m going as an Immigrant about to receive permanent residency, the scariest thing in modern day Britain.
Someone called me few months after my father died.
He said that he knows that men go through shege in the hands of their wives abroad and that now that my father has died and he is now like a father figure in my life, I should not feel alone and should always run to him if my wife starts showing me shege.
This is an extended older relative I have not spoken to in years and who I don’t consider to be a stakeholder in my life, and i was naturally shocked by the audacity. Why is your first line of thought that I am going through ‘shege’ or might go through ‘shege’ in the hands of my wife.
Interestingly, one of the last thing my father told me two days before he passed was that I married a good woman and I should always take care of her. My Dad and my wife had such good relationship.
Now, if you have normal marital issues and you seek advice from this kind of person, best believe you’ll end up unfortunate like this Alimat’s husband.
Nigerians will look for means to poison men that have Japa’d. Common among them are statements like:
“You that you can no longer command your wife.”
“You that if you talk small your wife can send you out of the house.”
“You that is now a boy boy, washing plate and sweeping floor.”
“You that is now nanny.”
“You that cannot pay all the bills without the help of your wife.”
“Don’t buy a house with her, build in Nigeria first.”
Anything to make you feel like there is a dent to the quality of your life because you have now Japa’d and are exposed to a different societal reality that requires change.
The joke is on you if you think these are insults.
Normal people will consult their spouse when making decisions, help them where possible to reduce the burden of house chores, provide and enable their partners to grow in their careers which ultimately benefits the family, they dont take beating their spouse as a means to correct or resolve conflicts.
If these feel like a burden to you, your head is not correct and needs to be checked.
She didn’t cook is not a reason for divorce.
She is working 44hrs is not a reason for divorce.
She is not ready for another baby is not a reason for divorce.
The kind crazy mindset and orientation that exist in Nigeria as a society eh.
You’ll marry a doctor and tell her to go and open shop because women should stay at home to be caring for children.
Someone was asking me why I’m always carrying my baby when my wife is sitting and watching TV. It took me few mins to compose myself before I provided a respectful caution.
We can’t keep blaming women for ending up with such men when we live in a society that normalises nonesense. There is a need for collective reorientation.
It won’t happen overnight, but silence will not change it either.
