I’m a terrible ad guy. My aunt reopened her bar in a different location - basically across the street. In the same neighborhood as the original Jean Shepard’s house from A Christmas Story in beautiful Hessville Indiana. Now those of you who know the area, know that modern day Hessville is indeed tired. It’s been around forever but I grew up in that neighborhood so it will always feel like home in good times and low times. Kenwood Tap 3 is the third bar the family has opened, and like the previous location , it is indeed a quality dive bar with everything you would expect. Cold beer, good pizza, plenty of TV’s for games, and the classic smoky haze and friendly bartenders. Windy City Pizza runs the kitchen and I’m not gonna lie, it’s pretty good pizza if you’re hanging out and need to maintain. 6208 Kennedy Ave. Hammond / Hessville
