So I got a new computer and now I longer have access to my GitHub or my LinkedIn. Don't care as much about LinkedIn... but GitHub says my password alone is no longer good enough. Mind you, I never had 2FA activated, so I have no idea what it actually wants! I just don't have GitHub anymore.

It's 3am here in Wisconsin. Who is up? What are you working on?

I got food poisoning... spent the last 24+ hours existing between the bed and the toilet. Finally able to leave the room and travel to the store to get some hydration and sustenance! And thankfully, finally able to actually hold some stuff down. What a day!

A mall in the middle of a midwest college town... I don't think I need to say much more.

I've been experimenting with a lot of open source LLMs (that fit on a 24GB graphics card)... by far, Qwen 3.8 27B is the best. And second isn't even close.

IS anyone else hearing about the RTX 5090 being discontinued? I just got a laptop with a 5090 in it...is this good or bad for me?

Good morning all. Hope everyone has a great morning and a productive week!

I'm not competitive. There is no competition!

Running a 27b parameter LLM completely local is pretty satisfying. It's a little slow, but it's mine. And it is secure. It was a pretty good amount of money, but so far (after just a day), I'm calling it worth it.

New hardware. ROG Strix... 32GB DDR5 memory, Nvidia RTX 5090 24GB VRAM. Pretty cool, quite stoked.

Finally got on X money. Pretty hearty interest rate!
