In the immortal words of George St. Geegland: You're born a schmuck and you'll die a schmuck. Welcome to hell, idiot!

Splice's desktop client is like a case study in awful UI design. No ability to view samples by pack, no ability to click a "Select All" checkbox when downloading, no progress bar or any indication when trying to sync the entire library. Just unpleasant all around.

All things considered, I actually like candy corn. Cry about it.

You know what feels REALLY good? The moment after you set up your auto-reply in Outlook & you go back to Teams & see the green checkmark icon & it isn't filled in & you mouse over it & it says "Available, Out Of Office" All is right in the world, if only for a fleeting moment.

20 years ago, people would have imaginary conversations and talk shit into a mirror a la Taxi Driver. It was a personal, private activity. Today, mfers have TikTok and I'm split on whether to cringe about it or to be happy for the entertainment at their expense.

When I try to write thoughtful lyrics, it ends up feeling so preachy that I want to split off into two people so that the one me can just fuckin deck the other me.

The absolute state of YouTube today: Helloooooo everybody, welcome to my video about [really simple thing]! Today I'm going to explain [really simple thing] to you! [cue 6 minutes of new and inventive ways of repeating the last 2 sentences]. There are many reasons you might...

Every time 10 years passes, I find myself wishing I could go back 10 years. It has happened to me twice so far (I ain't THAT old)... if this is just going to be a pattern, I'm not interested tbqh.

Using booleans to tell me the truthiness of a conditional based on a boolean always fucks me up and I end up in this 1984-esque state of despair all like "True is False, False is True, War is Peace, Ignorance is Strength, Slavery is Freedom" 😭

There is something truly special about the bassy, vaguely depressing voice of the narrator for PBS Frontline documentaries.

I get severe "Black Hole Sun" music video vibes off of this.
AI and reality are basically identical at this point. This video was generated by AI. I couldn’t believe it myself. teapawt.net/OnlyBangersEth/status/…

I would say something like "Go off, kings" to the French, but there's an itch in the back of my head telling me it didn't end well last time there were... like... kings there.

Love this. Down with manicured lawns. Up with natural local flora.
Listen up, friends. The world is falling apart around us, ravaged by greed and the relentless pursuit of the superficial. And in the midst of it all, our connection to nature is fraying, withering away like the last remnants of a dying world. But it doesn't have to be this way.

They say if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything, but if the last decade taught us anything it's that even if you stand for something, there's still a good chance you'll fall for anything.
