ā€œNot for a marathonā€ ā€œNot for the gymā€ Is very Planet Fitness coded. Hydration used to be aspirational and now it’s positioned as a necessity. ā€œIs it in youā€ and ā€œhydration for existingā€ couldn’t be more different. @drinkleisure has the head start here. Excited to monitor.

It’s hard for me to buy into Muse’s best use case being that it does your shopping for you when the only reason anyone uses Facebook that I know is for Marketplace.

Martha might be one of the only celebs that resonates with every age and demo.
MARTHA STEWART JOINS PROTEIN BAR BRAND STARS + HONEY AS CTO Stars + Honey named Martha Stewart its first Chief Taste Officer. She'll work with the brand's in-house chefs on new flavors and front its "Taste Has a New Boss" campaign. Daniel Rainey founded the company in 2023 which grew 300% last year and is on track for ~$50M in revenue in 2026. In June, VMG Partners put in $24M for a minority stake, the brand's first outside capital. Launches in 2,000+ Target stores and at Costco followed within three weeks.

Two things… 1. Backflip crushed the last 60 days 2. Target isn’t a fit for your brand 75% new to category is WILD. Yes, the brand crushed, but this also means the weekly grocery shopper does not exist at Target. This opportunity simply does not exist for your brand.
Backflip is on a roll at Target. After selling nearly 500,000 units in its first 60 days, Backflip is now the No. 2 cereal brand at Target behind Honey Nut Cheerios. Additionally, 75% of Backflip shoppers are new to the cereal aisle.

Kudos to Jams on this šŸš€ At the same time you have to feel a bit for the brands that entered this space and failed prior. Never wrong, just early.
According to data from IbottaĀ + Mintel, Jams is expanding the category as 54% of its buyers are new to the category. The category has accelerated considerably since Jams debuted: +15.9% over 52 weeks +25.3% over 26 weeks +37.0% over 13 weeks +47.4% over L4W

More brands should think like Marvel. Comic Con w/ the movie announcement 2 years out. Teaser a year out. Multiple trailers, reaction vids, and merch leading up to release. Record breaking opening weekend. Thats how forward thinking you should be about your retail launch

You can’t focus on every door a retailer has if you want to be successful. We just had a brand outsell the category leader this quarter because they invested everything into 20 stores. Those 20 doors outsold the competitors 110 doors by 10x. Go narrow and deep not wide.
