Men used to have duals to the death when they were disrespected.
If we ever brought that back, you wouldn’t last too long.
You gotta big mouth.
Replying to @waggishway35
That’s what you’d be saying when you’re being used and abused in prison too.
Because, you’d just take it.
It’s a personality thing and no spine

If you met each of those men, in person, and sat down over a meal with each of them, one on one, do you think you’d still be making the same decisions you are now about what faith to align yourself with?
Replying to @waggishway35
You like to just take it, huh?
Says a lot about you.
Real men don’t just take it.

Just stop talking at “I’m against religious hate in any form”
If they don’t want the consequence, just don’t chant stupid stuff.
I’ll agree that if it’s just a few idiots, eject them, ban them, and be done with it.
It’s it’s a ton of people, penalize the team that they supposedly care about and still eject fans.
And if the school doesn’t try to take their own actions, fine the school. Fans don’t care about the school paying fines.

Big allegations.
Pretty stupid to believe the B12 just took someone’s word for the chant happening without it being verified, especially when $100k is on the line

They are one of the best exercises there is.
I’ve seen a lot of posts by LDS folks praising the Catholic Eucharist, so I felt it was worth while to do a deep dive.
Why do Latter-day Saints disagree with Catholic and Orthodox teachings about the Eucharist?
TLDR: Ultimately, our disagreement isn’t about whether Christ commanded us to partake of the sacrament. We agree that He did.
It’s about what happens during that ordinance, what it accomplishes, and who possesses the authority to administer it.
We both believe the sacrament was instituted by Jesus Christ and is a sacred ordinance. But there are several important doctrinal differences. Here they are:
1. The Real Presence
Catholics and Orthodox Christians believe the consecrated bread and wine truly become Christ’s body and blood.
Latter-day Saints believe they remain physical emblems of His body and blood, instituted to help us remember His sacrifice and renew our covenants.
“This do in remembrance of me.” - Luke 22:19
2. The Eucharistic Sacrifice
Catholics understand the Mass as making Christ’s one sacrifice sacramentally present.
Latter-day Saints emphasize that Christ’s infinite Atonement was completed once and for all (Hebrews 10:10–14). The sacrament commemorates that sacrifice rather than offering it sacramentally.
3. Priesthood Authority
This is perhaps the most important disagreement.
Latter-day Saints believe priesthood authority was lost during the Great Apostasy and restored through heavenly messengers.
Catholics and Orthodox Christians maintain that this authority continued through apostolic succession.
4. The Purpose of the Ordinance
Latter-day Saints emphasize remembrance, repentance, renewal of baptismal covenants, and the promised companionship of the Holy Ghost.
Catholics and Orthodox Christians emphasize communion with Christ through His real presence.
These aren’t entirely competing purposes, but they reflect different understandings of how the ordinance operates.
5. Bread and Wine/Water
Latter-day Saints believe the particular elements are secondary to the sacred purpose of the ordinance (D&C 27:2).
Catholic and Orthodox traditions maintain that bread and wine are essential to the ordinance.
All that said, while we disagree on these important doctrines, we share a profound reverence for Jesus Christ and His infinite sacrifice.

Well, ejecting the offenders and banning them for the season should help.
And the 15 yard penalty as a direct result to their behavior will do more than UCF could do alone.
I don’t anticipate it happening anymore

A 15 yard penalty can definitely turn into points
The Big 12 just announced serious consequences for chanting “F the Mormons” (or any other discriminatory chant).
First incident:
- Minimum $100K fine
- Formal warning
Second incident during the same game:
- 15-yard penalty in football
- Two-shot technical foul in basketball
- Potential additional $500K fine
Fans ejected for discriminatory conduct will also be banned from athletic events for the remainder of the academic year.
👏👏👏
I LOVE the Big 12!
Rivalries are great.
Hate and discrimination isn’t.
