#BREAKING | #Techie rapes friend’s girlfriend; kidnapped & assaulted by her friends in #Bengaluru.
A #softwareengineer allegedly raped his friend’s 21-year-old girlfriend and was later kidnapped by her friends, who assaulted him and demanded ransom, police said on Thursday.
The arrested are Bursu Mahendra, 23, and his friend Yerryboina Tarun, 23, both software engineers who lived together in a house in the Marathahalli area. Both were natives of Andhra Pradesh.
During the inquiry, the 11 suspects, including the 21-year-old girl, allegedly confessed to the kidnapping and demanding a ransom.
However, what shocked the police was the allegation made by the 21-year-old woman. She told the police that between 1.30 am and 4 am on October 24, Mahendra raped her at the house where he and Tarun lived. She was allegedly confined in a room by Tarun.
She then informed her friends, who allegedly kidnapped Mahendra and Tarun, beat them up and demanded a ransom. Police immediately registered a second case, recorded her statement, questioned Mahendra and Tarun and arrested them. @DeccanHerald
