live footage from anthropic office
We discovered a sophisticated recording device that was hidden inside one of our offices. We used our models to understand the device and where it had come from, identifying that a specific employee had planted it a few days earlier. We referred the matter to the FBI, and we’re grateful to the agents and prosecutors who moved quickly to make an arrest. The FBI’s investigation is ongoing and we will continue to support their work. At this time, we have no indications of this individual inappropriately accessing or exfiltrating model weights, source code, or customer data. The employee was terminated. We take protecting our technology, data, and people seriously, and as a matter of national importance. Our security program is designed to protect against a wide range of threat actors, from insider risks to cybercriminals to nation states, and this case is an example of how AI can help address these sophisticated security threats.

love to see carney mobilizing that builder and entrepreneurial energy, it's been sorely missing for too long
At the first Canada Investment Summit, we unleashed nearly $500 billion of new investment into Canada. That means more good jobs for our workers. Major new opportunities for our businesses.    Canada is boldly unleashing our potential — and we are just getting started.

if you can believe you can achieve
people have the craziest limiting beliefs about what is possible, like even still. I sit on these meetings with very senior engineers & managers just yap, meanwhile im watching gemini do the things they say can’t be done. the moat is literally: do u believe its possible

one way you can instantly tell apart people who have built something from those who don’t is that they understand what a big deal small wins are when we got our first 1k MRR I was ecstatic. I texted a series b founder friend who had tens of millions in ARR and he was somehow even more hype than me. he called me to congratulate me a couple months back there was a VC on here clowning a founder for being excited about their “four figure revenue” I remember thinking ‘this person doesn’t get it’ anything big starts small, and in some ways the tiny wins at the beginning mean more than the big ones later once you have momentum everything gets easier. customers lead to customers. revenue compounds. people already believe you’re going somewhere even passing 1m ARR didn’t feel as significant for us as getting that first paying customer that was the moment it stopped being an idea and became real savor the small wins and remember the people who celebrated them with you

I truly believe this. I could get to the top 0.1% of any skill I wanted to. all it takes is the will to do so. anything else are just self imposed limits. delusional, yes, but this mindset benefits you in any area of life. delusionmaxxing.
This is what it takes to be #1 in life.

you used to write code by hand and when it didn’t work you had to go into the codebase and understand all the functions sometimes people would go on for days about variable names and we would argue about what programming language was better
