Today was Tight Ends day in the NFL. Its a real celebration each year. Former Clemson tight end Davis Allen had 2 TD receptions for the Rams for the first time in his 54 game career. He was 1 of just 2 tight ends with 2 TDs today.

“Stay on that side” mentality makes no sense people should be allowed to revise their opinion with new info / tape
And this just leads to people getting dug in on wrong takes and ignoring all evidence just so they never admit they’re wrong
Clemson fans:
Last night was a brutal loss, but we're opening up the mailbag at @ClemsonOnSI.
What questions are on your mind about Clemson athletics?
2 things stand out on rewatch for me:
1 - Clemson's defense didn't pay any attention to Luke Reynolds off the line. Major mistake.
2 - Impressive pass rush by Jaheim Lawson, but an incredible touch throw by Ethan Grunkemeyer. Game of inches.
Clemson's defense allowed the game-winning touchdown tonight, but the unit played well enough to win.
My thoughts on a performance that should've led to a W:

Noticed Dabo Swinney had a play sheet on him in the second half, lots of chatter than he took over offensive playcalling. So I asked if he did, but he didn't say directly yes or no.
"I always have a play sheet."
Dabo Swinney, asked if there was any consideration of going to Christopher Vizzina at QB tonight:
"No."
He did note that Vizzina was physically available for the game.
Swinney, when asked about going away from the run game early:
"Poor coaching. We didn't help (our players)."
Dabo Swinney says that he wishes he'd called timeout before Clemson's 4th & 1 in the first half, and ran QB sneak instead of inside zone with the RB like they did.
Says that he thinks Clemson's coaches "have to help" Tait Reynolds more, given that he's a freshman.
Dabo Swinney says that Virginia Tech TE Luke Reynolds' first TD of the night was on a coverage bust.
Dabo Swinney:
"The story of the game was missed opportunities on offense. We needed to convert some field goals to touchdowns. Some penalties that were really costly, and 2 plays on defense."
Tonight, Clemson:
- Had 54 more yards than VT
- Out-rushed VT by 65 yards
- Allowed 1.9 yards per carry
- Did not turn the ball over
- Had 6 sacks
And lost.
James Franklin gave credit to Clemson DC Tom Allen (his former DC at Penn State), and said that VT “had a hard time running the ball, and a hard time protecting” against Clemson’s defense tonight.

Tait Reynolds says the offense is going to pop and it has the right tools, it “just needs a little more experience.”
Says he has full confidence it’s going to get there.
