Rob McElhenney says the two-against-one rule on Always Sunny has saved them years of emotional arguments because production is too expensive to negotiate every single decision
"early on we realized let’s just institute a rule of two against one. And it’s really really and I know it sounds silly and simple but it has been profound"
"The assumption is do you trust me? Yes. Do I trust you? Yes. And the three of us trust each other and we trust our taste. So therefore if two of us feel strongly about something then the other one has to capitulate no matter what no questions asked"
"They get a chance to plead their case and we all have to remain open-minded. But if the two of us still or two of them say nope this is the way we’re going you move on quickly"
"And it actually diffuses so many problems so quickly because you don’t have time as you all know you work in production it’s so expensive to run these shows you just don’t have time to negotiate every single thing and you got to move fast and that has saved us I mean that has saved us hours I would actually say that that saved years of our lives emotionally"

Being able to light a fire does not impress women, but not being able to light a fire repulses them.
You may apply this advice to many, many things in life.

Every woman has a nightmare where her man cheats on her, and every man has a nightmare where his woman doesn't listen to him in a crisis.
In real life, those are equally valid reasons to end a relationship.

This is a public service announcement for all women everywhere ever.
A fight does not happen by mutual consent. A fight happens because one person decides to start it.
That's ONE. Uno. Un. Eins. Ichi. Yī. Unus. Ett. Hana. Wāḥid.
One is not two.
Your man is not in a fight because he looked at the other guy, and they both said, hey, let's totally throw down, bro, as if fighting were a pickup game of basketball.
Your man is in a fight because one person decided to attack. That person is not necessarily your man even if, and I cannot stress this enough, even if your man is the one who throws hands first.
Yes, you read that right. If you don't understand, if it makes no sense to you, that's because you know nothing about fighting.
If you grab your man and try to restrain him, you are not preventing the fight. You are restraining him while the fight occurs.
Just because you would like your man to exit the situation does not necessarily mean he can. Even if he can, that does not necessarily mean he should.
He knows about fighting. Some men know less about it, and some men know more, but unless you are Ronda Rousey or Lena Miculek, your man always knows more about fighting than you.
If you have something you want him to do, like exit the situation if he can, use your words like a big girl.
Do not touch him.
He will ignore you, of course, because you have no idea what you are talking about, but you can talk if it makes you happy.
Do not touch him.
Step back from the area of conflict and get out of the way. Keep him between you and the threat if possible.
Do not get between him and the threat. That is retarded.
Also do not touch him.
If you do touch him, do not be surprised if you shoves you hard enough to land you on your butt ten feet away. This is the appropriate response. He is trying to protect himself and you from your willful ignorance.
Do not touch him.
If you do touch him, and he survives, do not be surprised if he ends the relationship afterwards. You grossly disrespected his judgement, and put him in serious danger with your selfish desire to be right all the time.
Do not touch him.
The time to have a conversation about whether the fight should have happened is after the fight, not while people are in danger.
Do not touch him.
Okay, quick reading comprehension test.
What should you not do?

I agree and can confirm.
Sensitivity is the true game changer above an IQ of 120, and this is a truth I have experienced myself. In my case it came along with autism, but honestly I wouldn't change a single bit of it because even though it can cause pain, in the long run it's very similar to playing Reality™️ using cheat codes.
The cruelest part of it is the brutal, inevitable, constant and unfathomable contrast that you see in those who don't have it. You can see it, but they can't. You know they'll never be able to see it, and you see the consequences of not seeing it. Every day, with no imaginable fix ahead.
It is like playing the game of life with fewer cards, trying to solve the equation of life with fewer variables. The number of them is infinite, of course, but as long as you have enough of them you will solve for the unknown of said equation.
An IQ of 120 or 125 vs. one of 142 or 150 usually is just a matter of time and effort linking variables, that's it. But if you lack the variables you're toast.
That's why poets and filmmakers see the future coming —almost explicitly, in many cases— while many Kasparovs and Talebs fail even when trying to foresee pretty obvious world events. This happens due to a lack of transcendent insight, due to a lack of connection with the subtle perks of this World.

i regret to inform you that personal growth rarely comes from acquiring new knowledge and almost always from:
-getting humiliated
-showing up terrified and doing it anyway
-admitting you might be the problem
