Today, we live under the tyranny of optimization. Every hobby must become a side hustle, every moment must be tracked by an app or captured and broadcasted for validation from strangers, and every hour must yield measurable results.
Be intentional and deliberate about preserving areas of your life that you refuse to either optimize or monetize. Read dense books purely for the joy of reading slowly, go for camping or hiking purely for the thrill and the experience, go for long walks with no destination in mind, or pick up an art you're not good at.
When you protect unoptimized spaces in your life, you assert your humanity over the industrial demand for constant output. Life is not an equation to be solved or an efficiency metric to be maximized; it is a landscape to be experienced. Sovereign inefficiency reclaims your right to exist without having to justify your existence through utility. – at Nairobi, Kenya

The Mightiest Profit has added that he will only resume healing the sick after all cases of ebola are treated and eliminated from the country.

Folks, have we not debated electoral transparency since 2007 with the same cast, only that positions have now switched? If our demand for radical transparency at @IEBCKenya depends on who we want to win next, we are not serious about reform.

There seems to be an uncomfortable pattern of sidelining and undermining Luo voices within Linda Mwananchi by individuals entrusted with leadership in the movement.
I received an audio recording of a meeting in which deeply troubling and undermining remarks were made. Soon afterwards, I alongside others, had been removed from various official groups with zero explanation.
We cannot champion inclusion in public while practicing the exact opposite internally.
This tendency deserves honest scrutiny!
