Quant firms are hiring idea guys, not quants I've been skeptical about the whole - software is commoditized, ideas are the moat argument But I've seen first hand the best quant and technical firms in the world hire thinkers, liberal arts grads, and generalists I predict the trend accelerates Letter from @AQRCapital below

in honor of jez launching papertrade, we've decided to boost his odds for the coinbase champions trading event... get a ~17x return if he wins the event, some pretty solid odds for a field of only 10 and given his defi roots!

This Saturday we upload our biggest YouTube video ever. It’s been in the works for years, I’m personally over a thousand hours deep into it, spent around $10,000,000 on it, and I literally have dreams about the video lol

today we launch @morphic_io: the sovereign AI platform around one core principle. human knowledge is our most precious asset and needs to compound for the people contributing it. we unlock our potential only when experience does not walk out the door every time someone leaves
