I do this whenever I travel by air. I’ll familiarise myself with whoever I’m sitting next to, collect their number, and ask if someone is picking them up or if they’re ordering a ride. Once I hear “I’m ordering a ride,” congratulations, you’ve just become my airport taxi. 😂 I’ll discreetly use my phone to snap the car plate number and send it, alongside the person’s details, to my DSS friend in case anything happens. After I left a toxic relationship where I begged to be understood all the time, I met someone who was very intentional about protecting my feelings. I’m a known overthinker so even when we had fights, she’d tell me she still loved me and she just needed a few hours to pull herself together, sometimes she’d text after an hour to tell me “I’m still upset but I love you baby” It was all so foreign to me, didn’t believe a relationship could be stress free.
