Not sure if you're following this Dr Matthew story? A social media "influenza" is claiming to be a Doctor. He's 22 years old and apparently finished Matric" at 16 after skipping Grades 4, 6 and 8. He says that he finished Medical School at the age of 21. He also says his name is not listed on the "Health Professions Council of South Africa" as he uses different names on social media. Doctors who were at Wits the same time (as he says he was) say they don't remember him. He has been featured on radio and TV shows offering all sorts of medical advice (just like his TikToks) on getting clear skin like him, sorting out STDs and even what to do when eating snails for the first time. His LinkedIn Profile says he is a "Content Creator" for Future Life and Nando's. I went down a rabbit hole last night and watched his videos, and other people's videos about him and read hundreds of tweets. I am now totally invested. I'm using my journalistic skills and have emailed Wits to corroborate his story about studying there from 2014 to 2021. I'll update you as soon as I receive a response.
