I set up a Gumroad site for the Chakra UI Design System plugin!
If you'd like to support its development, please consider making a donation.
Your support will help keep this project running.
I hope to release the alpha version soon.
Thank you!

Idea: an app that maps a song’s BPM to treadmill speed, so you run in sync with the beat 🏃♂️🎧
Would you use it… and would you pay for it?
I built myself a tool that helps me when AI writes a pile of React code and I don’t know where the source is.
I call it Sourcery. 🪄

It even supports Panda CSS 😏
7 years of Chakra UI 🎉🥳🎊
Really happy to be a small part of this journey and such a great community.
Huge thanks to everyone who has contributed along the way, and to @_estheradebayo for the lovely article 🙌
Happy anniversary, Chakra UI! 🎉
This September makes it 7 years of building Chakra UI @chakra_ui ⚡️
Building something for this long teaches you a lot about consistency
I've been reflecting on the last 7 years and what building DevRel around an open source project has taught me
I wrote all about the experience in this post: dev.to/_estheradebayo/7-year…

The official linting plugin for ESLint and Oxlint is coming in v2⚡️
Panda v2 will ship our official linting plugin for ESLint and Oxlint ⚡️
Define your design system rules 🤝 and @panda__css will enforce them for your team!
The plugin can help you catch invalid or raw tokens, deprecated properties, extraction issues and more
See how it works 👇

Panda v2 is almost here!!!
And this time, the compiler is written in Rust 🦀
👀 Who's ready for it?
Panda CSS v2 is cominggggg 🐼
We rewrote Panda's compiler in Rust 🦀 @panda__css to significantly boost performance and reduce memory footprint
We've been working on this for MONTHS and we're finally ready to get you to try it 😁
Ark UI just released the HOTKEYS utility!
I would highlight the scope setting. You usually do not need it, but when you do, you are really happy it is built in.

While sitting on the beach, I started thinking about what @chakra_ui v4 could look like and put together some ideas and ADRs 🏖️🤔
I opened a discussion and would love to hear your thoughts. Comments and feedback are very welcome!

i was thinking could @chakra_ui simulate the proposed HTML headingoffset and headingreset attributes with a HeadingProvider? 🤔
I shared the idea here, feedback and experimental prototypes are very welcome!

Is the recently merged react-dom browser() API the same as the postpone() API mentioned back in 2023?

We might add similar APIs with the same capability but this is totally in the spirit of what it was intended for.
For the ClientOnly use case, the eventual recommendation will be to call the “postpone” API on the server to trigger the nearest Suspense boundary.

Support for CSS ViewTransition API is coming in @panda__css v2 🎉
Plug it into React's `<ViewTransition>` or Astro's `transition:name` and watch it transition nicely ✨
Learning and building with Rust 🦀 has been a fun journey so far.
We've been working to port @panda__css to Rust to make it super fast 💨 and significantly reduce its memory footprint ✨
Help us test and share feedback here 👇🏻

Just discovered the headingoffset proposal. 👀
A simple way to offset heading levels inside a container without rewriting the content itself.
w3c.github.io/hackathon-tpac…
Perfect for cases where your page already has an <h1>, but you’re rendering user-generated Markdown and can’t control whether it starts with #, ##, etc. The browser adjusts the resulting aria-levels for you.

I was wondering what was happening with the React concurrent store proposal, so I asked @acemarke at React Summit. He pointed me to this Reddit thread, where @captbaritone shared the latest update on the topic. reddit.com/r/reactjs/comment…
For anyone who wants more context, this is the proposal I was referring to:

How do you bring a stamp collection online without turning it into just another image gallery?
Inspired by a family stamp album, @rpavlini and @marijanapav created an interactive digital stamp collection filled with playful inspection, thoughtful details, shaders, postcards, and plenty of charm.

Figma just killed my plugin with the latest release 😅 They added design token suggestions for hardcoded values, plus a few extras.
The catch? It’s only available on Organization and Enterprise plans. My plugin is free and available to everyone:
