Incredible video of someone selling their soul in just one minute.
Nobody wants to buy a service they can’t walk away from. Palantir’s critics have long claimed we ‘lock in’ our customers. We don’t. This short film explains why. It’s the first in a series on the gap between the rhetoric about Palantir and the work we actually do.

Ni escrita un año antes del rodaje, ni producido por las mejores compañías, ni dirigida por Stanley Kubrick; logras una escena épica como esta. No es ficción; pero el piano rodando ya es cine francés 😮‍💨🇫🇷

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

Shoutout to everyone else who was abused, traduced, defamed and shafted by Starmer and the boys in blue suits for wanting a Labour Party with vision, passion and humanity. The truth is he could never have delivered that speech, and that is why they behaved as they did. Goodbye.

And nearly 40% are in work, many employed by huge multinationals that rely on the taxpayer to subsidise the poverty wages they pay. Let’s discuss that.
🚨 NEW: Research has found one in five working-age adults are now on Universal Credit This includes 1.3 million people in their 20s, 2 million in their 30s and 1.9 million in their 40s according to the TaxPayers’ Alliance

This is an awful, indefensible line of questioning by @JustinOnWeb . He suggests that saying "Free Palestine" is not "necessarily" a call for violence against Jews. "Not necessarily"!!! The state of Palestine is recognised by the UK government. How could the demand for it to be "free" POSSIBLY mean anything other than that. Free Palestine = Freedom for Palestine. Then he asks if there is a "risk" that the decision to drop Macklemore has "backfired" - by drawing attention to it. If the BBC had any integrity, it would fire Webb for this.
The Israeli-American Council chief exec, who led calls for Macklemore to be dropped from Ed Sheeran's tour, describes 'Free Palestine' as an anti-Semitic statement. Elan Carr tells @JustinOnWeb that freedom of speech doesn't give the rapper the right to 'hijack' a stage.

The interview of @Ed_Miliband conducted by @JustinOnWeb on @BBCr4today this morning, even for Webb, struck a new low. Using the disgraceful remarks of @chiefrabbi as a lever, he effectively suggested Miliband wasnt Jewish because he didn't attend synagogue. The entire treatment of the issue by the programme was appalling. Soft soap interview of the Israeli spokesperson who was not challenged on the ICJ judgement on the illegality of the occupation, nor on the active support of the Israeli Government for settler violence. Central frame of Miliband interview was antisemitism, safety of British Jews alongside the expected Pro Israel talking points( you can't enforce a ban- why not wait until after the elections?). Astonishingly at the end he challenged Miliband on why he didn't use the word genocide. When Miliband gave his inadequate answer, that this had to be determined by the ICJ, of course Webb didn't say what he could have.." given the ICJ has accepted the plausibility of South Africa's case, will the UK be taking further action, as it is obliged to do , to prevent genocide". Instead he threw at him Simon Schama's grotesque line that anyone who accuses Israel of genocide is guilty of a blood libel, a premiss that would make Israel uniquely protected from ever being investigated for the crime whatever the evidence. 2 days of coverage of the issue as the main story on Today ... not a single interview with a Palestinian... not a single interview with anyone who supports the action but feels it does not go anywhere near far enough .

[seeking investors]: so we've invented a machine that dilutes all of human creative endeavour, so that, someday soon, nothing will have the capacity to provoke wonder; that we hope will render every task futile and joyless; and the good news is, we also expect it to kill us all

It is interesting that a relatively small gaggle of thugs and meatheads in masks can largely avoid criticism and be labelled as speaking on behalf of the british people. Contrast that with response to hundreds of thousands marching peacefully against genocide.
'I think this is a real wake up call to the Government that the British people are fed up with the lack of control of our borders' Donna Jones, police and crime commissioner for Hampshire and Isle of Wight, spoke to #BBCBreakfast after hundreds of people protested against small boat arrivals in Portsmouth last night bbc.co.uk/news/live/cm5y7rw7…

If you left an empty seat for each person you’ve killed in Gaza, the stadium would be empty.
85 empty seats. This Sunday, millions of fans will gather to cheer for their national teams in the FIFA World Cup Final. But 85 voices from Argentina will be missing. They belong to the victims of the 1994 AMIA terrorist bombing in Buenos Aires, an attack planned by the Iranian regime and carried out by Hezbollah. Behind every terrorist attack are lives stolen and futures cut short. We remember. We stand against terror. Always.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
La France dépense déjà + de 1,5% du PIB dans la culture par an. Sans prendre en compte les dépenses des communes (qui est en moyenne à 4% du budget) touteleurope.eu/societe/les-mo…

Sir, we have lost Abdi Duale
EXCL: Labour officials are now less likely to block Andy Burnham from returning to parliament, a member of the party’s ruling body has suggested Abdi Duale said NEC officers are "reassessing" their old loyalties, e.g. to Keir Starmer, because "this is now terminal for the party"

So Israel destroyed every other building except the Hamas headquarters?
The Gazans are angry: A huge Israeli flag hung on what used to be the Hamas regime headquarters building in the city of Rafah. Am Israel Chai! #Israel

After he won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1957, Albert Camus wrote a letter of thanks to his favorite childhood teacher, whom he'd never forgotten. It's beautiful.

Would highly recommend you watch David Foster Wallace talking about boredom, and why some people now find it so hard to read. Sorely wish he were around today to hear his views on TikTok and the like.
