“Then the collecting thing in me just, I saw something I had to have''
Same except i'm not rich :/
Logan Paul reveals he has reinvested nearly all the money from his $16,492,000 Pikachu Illustrator sale back into collectibles
“Put $100,000 into Whatnot when they were valued at $90M. Dude they just crossed a $20,000,000,000 valuation”
“Does that make me Rich? Yes, it does but here's the thing. What am I going to do with the money?”
“I say I'm going to be responsible with it. I say I'm going to put it in Tesla or something. Flying cars, obviously right?”
“No, I just end up buying more Pokémon cards”
“I sold my Pikachu Illustrator, $16.5M. I’m telling myself, I got a family, my wife, I got this new beautiful house, very expensive wedding, paid way too much money for the wedding but it was a great experience for everyone that they can remember for the rest of their lives, so it was worth it. But just expensive right? It's part of the reason I had to sell the Illustrator”
“Then the collecting thing in me just, I saw something I had to have. Every collector knows this journey. I got obsessed and I had to have this thing and I went on this quest for a year to just collect this thing that I had to have”
“I ended up just putting basically all the money that I earned on the Illustrator sale back into Pokémon or a business related to collecting in Pokémon. Rip It”
“I self-funded the entire company with the money that I made from the Illustrator that I told myself I was not going to spend on collectibles but I did”
“I’ve come to accept that this is a loop that I simply cannot escape”
it is absolutely insane what elon has done for humanity
it actually makes no sense
electric, self-driving, flying cars -- openai, reusable spaceships, planetary expansion, new internet network that decides wars, paypal, x, solar, neuralink, hyperloop

We didnt have a lot of money growing up, never missed anything at home, but my Dad was constantly working overtime and my Mom would pick up a second job during November and December for our Christmas (we were 3 kids). I would wake up before school to watch the anime and 1/x

You guys, this Pikachu timeline PDF is actually insane. ⚡️
94 pages of early cards, stickers and variants. So much history beyond the TCG.
Seriously, grab the free download and look through it. Tell me which Pikachu you never knew existed.

Slaf plays with 0 hands nor confidence. Slaf has the puck, slaf forces a passes. He doesnt create space for himself or try to deke anything, he forces impossible plays like a fourth liner who's trying to get his first assist of the season 9 games in.
Even on PP.
Never a dull moment eh

END OF AN ERA. A NEW CHAPTER AWAITS.
As you’ve probably heard, I’ve said goodbye to CryptoPunk #8348 for $5.9M.
This wasn’t an easy decision. I spent months flip-flopping on whether to sell, but after more than six years, I felt it was time. This Punk became my identity, so there was a lot more to think about than just the price.
I wanted to write this earlier, but the transaction literally happened in a beer tent at Oktoberfest... So I needed some time to collect my thoughts.
The 2021 NFT mania was insane. It gave me the opportunity to explore digital identity in ways I never expected when I bought 8348 in 2020 for $18,000. I DJ’d across Europe, North America and the Middle East, worked with luxury brands including Louis Vuitton, Swarovski (with mmERCH) and Dolce & Gabbana, and helped curate art events in Miami, Ibiza and London. I also released original music, vinyl records, merchandise, and much more.
Looking back, I accomplished a lot with this Punk.
But the landscape has changed considerably since then, and my interests and priorities have evolved too. Over the last 12–18 months, I’ve been winding down parts of the Seedphrase business and refocusing on what’s next. That’s meant going back to my roots in trading, which was my focus before 2020, taking on new challenges in gaming with Wolf Game, and exploring new possibilities with AI.
On the creative side, I want to see what I can do under my own name. DJing without a helmet, playing more of my own taste in music, and being more involved in the art scene as Danny. I’ve spent six years building an identity around 8348, and I’m ready to give myself a bit more freedom to explore outside of that.
I’m proud of what we built with this Punk. Selling it doesn’t change that, or my interest in the space. There’s still plenty I want to do here.
I won’t reveal the new owner’s identity. They’re welcome to come forward in their own time. One of the first things I asked was that they be a good custodian of such a legendary CryptoPunk, and they’ve assured me they will.
8348 has been a huge part of my life since 2020. It’s strange to move on from something so many people know me by, but I’m excited to put that same energy into what comes next.
You’ll be seeing more of me. Just without the helmet (and with fewer traits).
