Without light our primary sense, vision, is nullified absolutely. Light is inextricably linked to the experience of anything you see. The natural environment, a piece of architecture, art, theatre, your home, a loved one.

Something can be lit to be ‘seen’ but this is very different from lighting something to be beautiful.
