Dems last won a Senate seat in Nebraska in 2006, when incumbent Ben Nelson beat Pete Ricketts (who's running for Senate right now). Despite NE's GOP lean, Dems had this seat from 1977 to 2013. Nelson, a conservative Dem, was endorsed by the NRA and other right-leaning groups.

I saw Chris Stapleton open for Tom Petty in Milwaukee… Guy next to us was PISSED., Stapleton was an opener, shorter set and had zero clue who Petty was… I watched that grown man’s mind warp as Tom Petty ripped through the set, Stapleton was good but he wasn’t Tom.
