A mother Anjanath and her chick watch amid pines as a weary bull Amatsu descends under clear moonlight- a rare, noble sight - or perhaps an opportunity lil ecology sketch

my friend Josh once said “I’m just joshing you” in normal conversation like it was some sort of catchphrase so we lowkey all killed him with pitchforks and hung his corpse from a telephone pole

Paleontologists don’t even tell you how pseudosuchians walked anymore they just look at you like this

New paper on the locomotor biomechanics of Postosuchus. They could not conclude if it was bipedal or quadrupedal, digitigrade or plantigrade. Its pelvic muscles were 3x more massive than a similar-sized crocodile’s, but its gracile tail had a smaller caudofemoralis.

Really wish people would stop giving thick African Elephant skin/trunk wrinkles to prehistoric elephants. It’s a highly derived semi-arid adaptation that is unique to Loxodonta africana, an American Mastodon would not have had that. African Forest Elephants don’t even have it!
