That’s the thing tho, the topic did not stem from someone trying to push “new dating requirements”. A random person on the internet describing what they like or desire for a date should not trigger anyone nor be taken as an attack on what they’d choose to do in their dating life.

I think it’s because people have witnessed the social media domino effect. -New dating requirement announced & now it’s supposed to be a part of the bare minimum -Monetary gestures are becoming the entry barrier to dating instead of genuine interest and attention
