United By Music meant something in 2023. It felt real. It felt like it had substance.
Now it has neither meaning nor substance.
The EBU have let Israel manipulate #Eurovision to a point where it is now a shadow of what it once was.
Seeing a lot of criticism on the timeline of Andrew and David, I actually think there’s a lot of things they’ve been getting right, but we need to stop selecting artists first and then getting them to compose a song; it’s a song contest and the song needs to come first
🎤 The search for the United Kingdom’s act and song for Eurovision 2027 is underway!
With 200 days to go until the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final, the BBC and BBC Studios have confirmed the search for exceptional artists and songs

I do appreciate MG’s attempts to be more transparent with the fan base, but it seems like all of his projects since coming on have completely flopped. It’s just been PR disaster after PR disaster, and you do start to wonder when something will give

Gonna need Malta to win Eurovision soon, the vibes of that show were great, some of the best production (minus the technical hiccups) we’ve seen in a while
Annual reminder that JESC is a kids contest and if you’re tweeting negatively about the performances or the kids you’re a weirdo

Carmelle tried to investigate the EBU budget cuts for Eurovision Asia herself—"I have figured it out"
Aftonbladet reports that the EBU has cut roughly $1 million from the initial $4.5 million budget for #EurovisionAsia 2026.
Consequently, organizers can no longer afford to fly in the international team, replacing them with a local Thai crew.

🇹🇭 Amid reports of budget cuts prompting production changes, #EurovisionAsia has confirmed that “there are no plans to cancel or postpone the event.”
🇹🇭 Aftonbladet reports the EBU has cut #EurovisionAsia’s budget by about $1M from roughly $4.5M ahead of the 14 November show in Bangkok.
The international production team has reportedly been replaced with local Thai staff.

ESC Asia Ticket Sales🧵
I’ve been keeping a close eye on ticket sales for Eurovision Asia, and it’s safe to say interest is very low.
Since sales started 3 weeks ago, around 20% of total tickets have been sold, roughly 1,900/9,000 tickets for both shows combined.
Tickets are on sale in two places, The Eurovision Asia website, and Megatix, a local Thai ticketing website. By looking at the sales for both, it’s clear that local interest is also very low.
Only 255 tickets have been sold through Megatix, making up just 14% of the total sales.
