Near-zero visibility in fog is expected.
Areas of dense fog will impact the area tonight into early Thursday morning. Particularly in fog prone areas along the 401 and 402.
Travel will likely be hazardous in some locations. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced at times.
Be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Well, its October 28th but its time to start talking about the 🥶 Polar Vortex 🥶
Lots of chatter lately about the Polar Vortex making an appearance early on the season- let's break it down 👇
A PV disruption is starting to occur in the upper stratosphere and is causing the PV to weaken (also known as an SSWE)
This usually leads to a cold airmass spilling south and producing cold temps/ snow for Southern #Ontario
At this points its not if but when we see any impacts of this event
As this event is only in the beginning stages in the stratosphere, we likely won't see any impacts until mid November at the earliest
Long range models probably won't catch on/ show any impacts at the surface levels (temps/ precip) until around the first week of November
This is quite unprecedented considering with currently have a record breaking strong El Niño ongoing
It is too early to know if the early PV disruption will have any impacts for our winter down the road
At this point, nothing to get too excited about but rather wait and see how things pan out. Being early in the season, there isnt much extreme cold air pooled up just yet
Will monitor and update!

Cyclone #Arnab will impact Andhra Pradesh and Orissa, India, likely as an equivalent Category 1 or low-end Category 2 cyclone.
Winds at the coast will gust 120-140 km/h, and some folks could see 20-30 centimeters of rainfall.
