I had the best time yesterday delivering this month’s Thursday talk at the Brontë Parsonage Museum! ✨ A huge thank you to everyone who listened to me talk about Branwell and his Victorian biographical depictions 🪦#TeamBranwell 💛
Mini Branwell had a brilliant time exploring the Brontë Birthplace in September 🥳 He’s very excited that you can now listen to their series of talks online - including Dr Michael O’Dowd’s talk on Tuesday evening at 6:30pm about Birthing the Brontës and Charlotte’s final illness
We are particularly intrigued about the mysterious backyard at the Birthplace and we have been told that all will be revealed on Tuesday night! 📕

Remembering Patrick Branwell Brontë who died on this day in 1848 🖤 ‘thou art gone but I am here / Left behind and mourning on / Doomed in Dreams to deem thee near / but to awake and find thee gone!’ - Song (1835) #TeamBranwell
The beautiful honeymoon house where Charlotte Brontë and Arthur Bell Nicholls stayed in Kilkee, County Clare in 1854 🥹💗✨
One week to go until the Kilkee Brontë Festival! 🥳 Mini Branwell and I can’t wait to visit the beautiful coastal town where Charlotte Brontë and Arthur Bell Nichols spent a large part of their Honeymoon ✨ Looking forward to opening the festival with my talk! #TeamBranwell 💛
Very excited to be speaking at the Kilkee Brontë Festival in September! Charlotte Brontë and Arthur Bell Nicholls spent part of their honeymoon in Kilkee so I cannot wait to celebrate Charlotte (and of course Branwell!) with lots of Brontë enthusiasts 💛✨ #TeamBranwell

On this day, the 26th of June 1817 Patrick Branwell Brontë, the only son of Maria and the Reverend Patrick Brontë was born in Thornton, West Yorkshire.
He was educated by his father who also taught him to play the organ for the parish.
Happy 208th birthday Branwell Brontë! Who was born on this day (26th June) in 1817 🥳🎁🎈✨

Where visions ever rise,
And thoughts and passions ceasless roll,
And tumult never dies’

Deb's Daily Brontë
I posted on FB yesterday about Branwell Brontë having many talents. Someone disagreed and asked what history books I'd read? Well this is one of them... #BranwellBrontë #DaphneduMaurier

"My appetite is lost; my nights are dreadful, and having nothing to do makes me dwell on past scenes - on her own self, her voice, her person, her thoughts, till I could be glad if God would take me. In the next world I could not be worse than I am in this."

Brilliant talk delivered by the amazing @_rosedawn3 tonight about the only son of the Reverend Patrick Brontë, Branwell. June is his birthday month and rightly so we should shine the light on him.

What an invaluable resource this thoroughly researched book by Dr Michael O’Dowd will be for current and future Brontë scholars written by an expert in Obstetrics & medical history. It questions the accepted narrative that Charlotte died of excessive morning sickness. Compelling.
