Atletico forwards trolling way too much, you can’t waste chances like that against Barcelona and hope to survive

According to the official Wakaliwood instagram, the actor that played Captain Alex in Who Killed Captain Alex died. Rest in peace to a man who played a very unsung role in action movie history, who helped prove that no matter the hardship, filmmaking can be for everyone.
Insane chokejob from Villa but credit to Dorgu he completely inspired that comeback with his energy and effort
I've been dying to see this movie. Ala Eddine Slim is such a beguiling filmmaker, way more people need to check out his work. New Yorkers don't miss this!
The next screening for Cinema Arabiyya is AGORA (2024) by Ala Eddine Slim on 11/18!

Not been in Algiers for more than five minutes and already got a bad allergic reaction. It's good to be back.
This post reminded me to write this piece that I’d been putting off for a couple months. On my favorite film discovery of the year and its weird twin, with slight divergences towards the dissolution of the USSR, modern Kyrgyz history, and the fate of KG: sillyilly95.substack.com/p/k…
really great article from Kent Jones that he wrote for Film Comment back in 2003 on Central Asian cinema and his trip to Central Asia that i came across while writing my post: filmcomment.com/article/lone…
i love this image from Shinoda's Double Suicide. the beauty, the simplicity, the way it bridges the theatrical and the cinematic.
Best first watches of October:
Double Suicide (1969)
Paper Tiger (2026)
Los Hermanos Del Hierro (1961)
Samurai Spy (1965)
A. Rimbaud (2026)
xG is something like 4-1 at some point you just gotta finish your chances. Really poor game from Kane.
Musiala and Diaz are already out and now Saibari, Gnabry, Olise all injured in the same game...fucking hell man. better now than in April i guess.
