Maharshi Valmiki gave the world the Ramayana. Uttar Pradesh is now giving his legacy, and the community that carries it, the respect it was denied for decades.
Today, Valmiki Jayanti is being celebrated across all 75 districts with Ramayana recitations and Deepdaan. Ayodhya's international airport bears his name. His tapasthali at Lalapur, Chitrakoot is being developed with a riverfront ghat and parikrama route.
And honour has gone beyond heritage. Sanitation workers are guaranteed a minimum ₹16,000 honorarium with PF, SC scholarships have a proposed ₹977 crore in the 2026-27 budget, and the Swachhata Udyami Yojana now offers up to ₹7.5 lakh in capital subsidy.

The real strength of a double engine government is that support reaches families from both ends.
From the Modi government come PM-AJAY, which disbursed ₹307.28 crore to support 25,930 SC beneficiaries, SHRESHTA residential schooling, national fellowships, overseas scholarships, Stand-Up India and PM-SURAJ for credit and skills.
From the Yogi sarkar come a guaranteed ₹16,000 honorarium for sanitation workers, a bigger Swachhata Udyami subsidy of up to ₹7.5 lakh, marriage assistance for daughters, and heritage development at Lalapur, Bithoor, Dostpur and Bela.

The real test of modern policing is what citizens feel on the ground. While modern policing remained a neglected priority under previous governments, CM Yogi Adityanath is focused on building a police force equipped for the challenges of a changing Uttar Pradesh.
This shift is reflected in the focus on:
- Specialised cybercrime units
- Better training facilities
- Stronger policing structures
- Modern infrastructure to tackle emerging threats
As UP grows, so must its policing capabilities. Law and order requires not just personnel, but sustained investment in the systems that keep citizens safe.
