Hot take: Zenless Zone Zero has failed to properly deliver on what I argue is one of their biggest drawing points. Synchronized, faction-based team attacks. Ever since 1.0 these were introduced through Koleda and Ben having an ultimate together if they were on the same team. Ever since then, the only other factions that have these types of pair-based team-attacks are the Angels of Delusion (released 1 year and 7 months after launch) and soon the Sunbringers (2 years and 5 months after launch). Even though the Sunbringers are basically 3 characters mixed into one, it still fulfills the fantasy. After almost 2 and a half years, having only 3 instances of these sync attacks is a huge missed opportunity. Why can't we have some Sons of Calydon team ups? Krampus is right there waiting. NEPS too. And we can even have cross-faction team ups that are based on their relationships in the story. Pyrois and Remielle. Cissia and Billy (the pet and roomba combo) Nicole and Miyabi (scammer and scam victim) Hugo and Lycaon (former allies turned rivals) Lighter and Billy (current and ex-champions) Grace and any intelligent construct (horni) Banyue and Ye Shunguang (protector and protege) Phoenix and Severian (criminal vs enforcer, butting heads in the past) Norma and Grace (bangboo lovers) Zhu Yuan and Miyabi (former classmates) Sanby and Soldier 11 (clone combo) There are so many options that we are not capitalizing on and it's a big shame. And yes, some of these team-ups don't make sense meta-wise. But who cares? The devs have all the power to make it work. It doesn't make sense to put an anomaly agent next to an attacker? Make it make sense then. Give buffs to that pairing if needed. Just make it work. Balance the game so that the fantasy of team attacks that was teased ever since the start of the game can be realized in a reasonable fashion. #ZenlessZoneZero #zzzero #ZZZ #ZenZero
