Back in 2000, the INTERNET was the future
Everyone wanted exposure to it
Companies poured money into infrastructure, rushed to expand capacity and ordered as many chips as they could
Cisco and Intel were among the biggest beneficiaries
But eventually, the infrastructure buildout outpaced actual demand
Orders started drying up, growth expectations collapsed, and semiconductor stocks got hit hard
Now replace the internet with AI
NVIDIA is at the center of a similar investment boom
Big Tech companies are committing hundreds of billions to AI infrastructure
Data centers are being built at an incredible pace, and chip demand has become one of the main drivers of market growth
But what happens when this spending slows down?
If AI companies start questioning their returns, reduce capital expenditure or delay infrastructure projects, the impact could spread across the entire semiconductor supply chain
And the market is already showing signs of a major repricing

The Dot-com cycle didn't end when everyone stopped believing in the internet
