dataset looked fun so i took a stab at overlaying it with a few orthogonal datasets (demographics, elections, county geo)
pretty fun to see how much local law differs across county/state borders (two near-identical counties on opposite sides of a state line can look completely different)

datasets stitched in:
- LOCUS (yours)
- ACS 5-yr demographics
- county presidential returns '08-'24
- census county geometry + a city→county crosswalk

MILLIONS of dollars in MEV are siphoned away DAILY by vpe (aka arsc), the top sandwich bot. But the worst part? This isn’t just about MEV—it’s about centralization of MEV. And it’s the greatest threat to Solana’s decentralization I’ve seen.
Solana’s volume is skyrocketing, and with it, MEV extraction. The value of sandwiching now exceeds the value of all other MEV (including priority fees) on Solana COMBINED.
If the current centralization trend continues, I predict arsc will become Solana’s largest staker within 1-2 years. They’re looping profits into staking their sandwiching validators—already top 200 by stake weight—and they’re not slowing down.
Long-term: We have a roadmap to tackle sandwiching.
Short-term: Decentralization is at risk now. Two approaches could slow or prevent centralization:
1️⃣ Whitelist/Blacklist:
Top tx-sending providers (Helius, Nozomi, Triton, etc.) create opt-in whitelists of “good validators” and route txs only to them.
🟡 Challenge: Blacklists become a cat-and-mouse game, and adoption of whitelists may be too slow to gain adoption and prevent centralization.
2️⃣ Public Mempool (Nuclear Option):
Reintroduce a public mempool. This redistributes MEV among validators and stakers, preserving decentralization.
🟠 Downside: This will increase sandwiching across Solana.
We’re working EXTREMELY hard to collect data and will release a formal recommendation soon. Personally, I’m leaning toward Approach 2.
I will post some relevant addresses below -- but all you need to do to verify the numbers is to watch their wsol balance go up in real time.

in hypergrowth, it's unlikely you get promo'd as an IC as quickly as inflation around leveling happens
this means older tenured employees are artificially down leveled over time or have to "work harder" for the same level
interesting how the opposite is often true for managers

Simple cheap fast tests that could be available now/soon and kill the outbreaks at “warpspeed”
SD Biosensor, Rapigen have tests - but CE marker abroad. 3M, e25Bio, Sherlock (and possibly the big diagnostic companies like Abbott and BD?) too!
C’mon feds! Let’s see the urgency!
According to @michaelmina_lab, we can end the #pandemic in 3 weeks by testing everyone every few days with $1 paper-based, at-home tests from @Sherlock_Bio and #E25Bio that are easy to distribute and use: harvardmagazine.com/2020/08/…

Someone (I forget who) once told me they shout "WEBINAR" at street harassers so they'll know what it's like to get something unpleasant and pathetic shouted at them, and looking at my inbox today, I feel this keenly.
