So cool!
Me and a band of plucky misfits (@maks_mak_0 and a few others), codename the Alertocats 🙀, have started rebuilding Cloudflare's whole notifications and alerting experience.
First up: a brand new UI. Find it in the dash at Observability → Alerts 👇

What started out as "I don't need GitHub because I'm building this solo" is slowly turning into building my build & deploy tooling, my own Claude Code remote harness... But in a "this is good actually" way

Draw architecture on whiteboard. Take picture. Use AI to create SVG from it. Then create a spec from the SVG. Then implement.
Idk, that might be a really great workflow, actually. Gonna have to try it out.

out: Stuck cohorts replay the same videos every tick without committing anything. That is 84% of backend CPU and about 5 million D1 statements a day on the primary. The fix is committed and tested.

we've been dogfooding this for a few weeks now and it's such an unlock for teams building on workers! no more mystery box
importantly — you can now find and profile a durable object!

the beauty of building on our platform: we just used the new CPU profiler on the worker behind d1
improved CPU utilization by 30% and improved RPS throughput for customers 🤯
I joined a hockey pool this year (stats are fun!) and I realized two things. The "fantasy sports" platform are over featured for the "office pool" crowd and so many people don't ahve access to good data tools in this space.
So I'm setting out to build something better.

The replies to this make it pretty freaking obvious just how much mindshare Cloudflare has.
And @awscloud in its infinite wisdom just made them the belle of the ball instead of “one out of hundreds of other vendors.”

I'm super excited to work with the Deno folks again
This isn't your typical acquisition blog post. I'm really excited not just that @rough__sea, @piscisaureus, and friends are joining, but also what they plan to work on: Making workerd a first-class, self-hostable open source runtime. Read for more:

Welcome @rough__sea and team!
The team behind @Deno_Land, including @rough__sea (he knows a bit about Node.js), is joining @Cloudflare.
They’ll help make Workers better for Node.js developers and advance workerd as a core primitive for what comes next. cfl.re/4zlzlSa
