The rate at which some Ghanaian girls are becoming comfortable with doing the bare minimum is actually crazy. Your mates are in the mining sector, law firms, big hospitals, IT, engineering and other serious fields, building careers for themselves. But you spend years in school, get the opportunity to build something solid, and suddenly it's "I have my own business." Wey business you dey do too aa, hair salon, ice kenkey, sobolo, thrift, Shein, Temu,Nail tech, selling wigs etc. And before you come for me, there's absolutely nothing wrong with any of these businesses. Making your own money is commendable. But why must it be the only thing you aspire to when you have the opportunity to build a professional career as well? Use the business as a side hustle. Grow it, invest in it, make money from it, but don't limit yourself. There's more to life than just surviving from one sale to another. Chale, raise your standards and aim higher. A time will come when some of the opportunities you're taking for granted today won't be available again yoo.
