As hybrid computer use—the ability to dynamically interleave CLI and GUI actions for complex work—becomes essential for universal digital agents, we need tasks and environments to measure and advance it. Introducing RecreationWorld: scalable, verifiable environments grounded in executable references across Ubuntu, macOS, Windows, Android and Web. 🧵 Website: recreation-bench.cc/ Code: github.com/QwenLM/Recreation…

There is more than one way to generate language. In diffusion text models, from Dream 7B to Clover, we've been exploring what becomes possible when models can generate in parallel. Proud to share our first release at DiffuSpace. 🍀 More importantly, we are still here.
Meet Clover-35B-A3B-Preview 🍀 the first open-weight production diffusion language model (dLLM) with 35B total parameters capable of 680 tps on a single card at BF16. Clover exhibits strong performance against both dLLM and AR models and is available today at @huggingface @ModelScope2022 and at our website

Reward hacking in autoresearch might be the most important challenge on the path to rsi. Congrats to @tli104 on pushing this forward!
So excited that this finally came out!! Studying reward hacking at scale in autoresearch agents is hard, and we ended up injecting hacks into long agent trajectories, so that we can do a controlled study on how monitors catch them. HackBench serves as a stress test of agent monitor’s long context recall, understanding of the research task, and reasoning over multiple turns.

⏱️⚙️Introducing *AutoBenchmark* 📊🏁 - Creating benchmarks automatically - Benchmarking benchmark creation - Studying the role & impact of humans in the loop Blog post: facebookresearch.github.io/R… Key takeaways: 1) We find human-agent collaboration gives big wins over agents alone - fine-grained feedback in ideation stage crucial - autobench can be used to measure this in the future with stronger agents 2) We show that it's possible to make *autoresearch benchmarks* for AI research using this recipe – full recursive improvement loop! 3) Important Ingredients: Autobenchmark creation works best with feedback from two sources: benchmark solvers + external verifiers (human+AI). 🧵1/5

[4/n] These results motivate a closer look at model–harness co-design, cross-task transfer, and evaluation robustness. For example, a configuration built around a persistent Node.js REPL and programmable SDK achieves similar observed task quality with less interaction overhead, shorter runtime and lower estimated cost, compared with direct MCP calls.

Coding an app is one thing. Using one is another. A real computer-use agent should be able to do both, and know when to switch between them. That’s what we’re exploring with RecreationWorld
Qwen introduces RecreationBench, a benchmark for Hybrid Computer-Use Agents with 250 application-recreation tasks across Ubuntu, macOS, Windows, Android, and Web, spanning domains such as productivity, development, graphics, multimedia, and science. Unlike GUI-only or terminal-only benchmarks, agents must explore a running reference app, recreate it in code, and pass both programmatic tests and VLM-based visual evaluation. The playground is ready. Let’s build! 🚀Dataset: modelscope.ai/datasets/Qwen/…

Excited to release our new work ExecCritic: Learn to Test, Test to Improve for Coding Agents. We introduce a new test-verify-revise agentic scaffold and a role-specific RL recipe to train agents within it. On SWE-bench Verified, ExecCritic improves Qwen3.5-35B-A3B from 61.2% → 72.6%, without stronger-model or Oracle feedback at evaluation time. 🤔 The core problem: Coding agents typically explore the repository, edit the source code, and submit once they believe the patch is ready. But this loop only works if both sides are reliable: the test must capture the right behavior, and the agent must know how to improve from its feedback. When the same trajectory writes both the patch and the test, their errors can agree. A wrong patch may pass a wrong test and appear correct. And even with a useful test, the agent still needs to learn how to interpret execution feedback and turn it into the right source-code revision. Empirically, test quality determines whether feedback helps or hurts. Poor tests can actually make the agent worse, while better tests lead to better repairs. ⚙️ Our approach: EXECCRITIC We separate test construction from source-code repair and train both roles specifically for this new agentic scaffold. Learn to Test A Test agent independently explores the repository and generates a task-specific executable regression test. The harness verifies that it runs and fails cleanly on the buggy repository, then freezes it. issue + repo → generate test → verify on Base repo → freeze verifier Test to Improve A separate Repair agent generates a repair patch, runs it against the fixed verifier, receives execution feedback, and iteratively revises the source code. generate repair patch → run fixed verifier → FAIL → revise repair patch → run verifier → … → PASS → submit The Repair agent cannot modify the test to make its own patch pass. 📈 The results: Learning to test substantially improves test reliability, measured by Base-to-Gold success: Base Qwen-35B: 22.2% + SFT: 39.6% + RL: 62.2% Composing the trained Test and Repair agents reaches 72.6% on SWE-bench Verified, an 11.4 percentage-point improvement over the original 61.2% baseline, without a stronger model or Oracle feedback at evaluation time. 🔍 The broader takeaway: For coding agents, execution feedback alone is not enough. We need agents that can both construct reliable feedback and learn to improve from it. As coding agents become longer-horizon and more autonomous, learning how to test may become just as important as learning how to code. 📄 Paper: arxiv.org/abs/2609.09133 💻 Code: github.com/MSR-Orchard/execc… Led by the amazing @LeitianT during his internship at @MSFTResearch, with huge thanks to our collaborators Baolin Peng, Haorui Wang, Hang Wang, Hao Cheng, Wenlin Yao, Qianhui Wu, Tao Ge, and @JianfengGao0217.

💻 Meet Qwen-CUA — our native computer-use agent for (almost) everything. Code, APIs, and computer use are three of the most important interfaces for agents. Today’s models are already highly capable with the first two. Qwen-CUA is built to unlock the third: graphical interfaces designed for people. 👀 Native Perception — screenshots only. No DOM, accessibility tree, or other hidden machine-readable state. 🖱️ Native Interaction — keyboard and mouse events across browsers, desktop apps, and professional software. No task-specific APIs. 🧠 Native Intelligence — maintains long-horizon visual context, verifies progress, and learns from large-scale interactive experience with verifiable outcomes. To make native computer use trainable at scale, we built approximately 40K verifiable tasks and rollout infrastructure with nearly 100K vCPUs, supporting tens of thousands of concurrent environments. Across eight computer-use benchmarks spanning everyday desktop use, long-horizon workflows, personalized computing, scientific research, web interaction, macOS, and adversarial robustness, Qwen-CUA demonstrates strong and broadly competitive capabilities. Scaling the same recipe to Qwen-CUA-Max pushes this frontier further. Not just “clicking the screen” — native computer use unlocks software and workflows that previously required a human at the keyboard. Together with code and APIs, it completes the interface stack for more general agents.
