After spending several hours trying to track down the pod of six ORCAS that we'd seen over consecutive days here in Shetland we struck lucky and relocated them off Weisdale. Here's three of them - including the huge male - as they passed us heading south.

ORCAS!!! We spent a wet and windy afternoon watching a pod of six Orcas from the shore between Trondra and Burra, Shetland. The pod were very active with lots of spy-hops, belly rolls and tail lobs. Magical!

In the dark welsh valley,
On the mountain side,
Lay the little children
Close to where they died.
Their little lives are ended
Before they reach their goal,
Tender little children
Have paid the price of coal.

Down at the lake shore early this morning watching the mist slowly clear and the rowers enjoying the day. Bumped into that cheerful chap Rob @rfj1966 again on his bike. No photos of him this time!!
The first two photos need a click 😎

This was as close a shot of the Old Man of Hoy I could get !
Ship was heaving up and down, rolling side to side
One of the roughest crossings I have done 🤢
