From 2-2 to 7th at the Puebla regionals this past weekend for Top 8!
After a year off of playing in person I really wasn’t sure if I could keep up this season, but this weekend, the work paid off despite imperfect play and still having a lot of room to improve. 🇲🇽

Finished 3rd at the Puebla Regional.
Very happy with my run this week-end, only 1 loss in swiss rounds and I had a good showing in top 8.
Looking forward to the next tournament !

Pyroar feels like the most potential mon ever, two of my mutual friends (very unfortunate pairing) were on a side stream at Louisville for their win and in, and sun boosted Fiery Mane Heat Wave from Mega Pyroar failed to OHKO a Sneasler

Hey y’all, despite the disappointing result, I still wanted to share my new version of the pyroar team.
The original version wasn’t working nearly as well as I wanted it to, and this version fixed 3/4 of the bad matchups I wanted help in.

Went 9-3 (55th) at Louisville with Psyroar! Tried dozens of teams and nothing felt good, so loaded up this gem at the final hour. Shoutouts to @bramblevgc and @FrostyTimp for prep and tolerating daily crashouts as well as @MadHatvgc and many others. ty @ChessBoard__ for team!

Not up for debate??? Joe won with luck. His entire strategy was luck. You dont have either player from the worlds finals that just happened on the list. You dont have Eric on this list who went completely undefeated to win regionals. And you dont have wolfe which is a choice

I made my second Day 2 with Mega Delphox!!
Thank you to @LenVGC for the team and all the hard work behind the report. Mega Delphox is one of my favorites and the last minute Floette addition was the right call.
Also, thank you to @Beaugardes97 for letting me use your Floette

Never been a twitter person but you VGC people seem to really like it so I made one.
I got top cut at Louisville regionals, on my first day 2 and just 8 months after learning about this game. Cool to be the highest placing and only Indeedee-F in top cut at this tournament - my favorite VGC mon and where every one of my teams where she’s available starts in the builder.
I poured my heart into building this team, and despite going 0-3 in victory road, 1-2 at my local, and 0-2 start to the Friday league challenge with this exact version all in the week before the event, I knew the team was capable of this. All my losses were completely my fault and I think the team is incredible. I honestly did it a huge disservice by only being able to take it to 20th. I’d be honored if you gave it a try, and happy to make a team report if there’s any interest.
Ultimately, I was pretty shocked when I lost abruptly in top cut in a winning position to this little rule called “my time”🤣. The scriptwriters cooked when I coincidentally had a conversation with my friends the morning before day 2 saying “I have no idea how the timer works in VGC and I should probably learn that soon”. After losing in Baltimore by misclicking my move, I learned to take my time on my turns. Today, I learned not to take too much time. As much as I wanted to be a “prodigy” in my first few events, just like in life, you have to fail. And some lessons are best learned the hard way.
Huge shoutout to all my new friends in VGC, including @Konnichiwonnor, @HappyDuckJJ1 and of course @HitTheCritty, who saw something in me at my first regional and graciously brought me into the community when I used to do everything alone.
Loving this game, and I hope to be at every NA event and more this season. See you soon in Vegas.
