Etihad threatening to sue. UAE reportedly intimating that UK investment could be pulled. A Prime Minister couching any criticisism. If this sorry saga doesn't convince you that state ownership of football clubs should never be allowed, nothing ever will.
Hello @trentseven do you have anything to say to Slam Ball fans? The SBA says 'sham' commercial agreements, are The Franchise a sham team? Are you destroying Slam Ball?
🚨 BREAKING : The Slam Ball Authority has announced that it has opened a formal investigation into The Franchise over what it describes as "substantial breaches" of Slam Ball's financial regulations between March 2025 and August 2026
Among the allegations under consideration are the overstatement of merchandising revenues, the use of sham commercial agreements with towel manufacturers, and the movement of funds through offshore accounts registered on Moustache Mountain.
The Authority is also examining whether these alleged arrangements were used to circumvent financial controls while financing the recruitment of Brendan White, Charlie Sterling, Leyton Buzzard, JJ Gale and James Ellis.
Separately, the Authority has confirmed that it is reviewing The Franchise's relationship with senior government figures following events surrounding the recent five-a-side fixture, amid concerns that the conduct of those involved may have brought the competition into disrepute.
Trent Seven, the majority shareholder of The Franchise has stated that he has “irrefutable evidence that proves why all of you should get f***ed”
The Franchise held the Slam Ball Championship for 371 days until their defeat to current champions Sunshine Machine on the 28 August 2026.
