Watching someone open their very first pull request at an event my team & I hosted takes me right back to my days as a GitHub Campus Expert, when so much of what I did revolved around helping people take their first steps into tech. ❤️
Thank you @Northeastern SV for having us!

the thing about You Can See Everything that i would most call genuinely daring is that it makes you sit in the theater for over an hour thinking that your ticket has gone into Billy's pockets and there's nothing you can do about it
I've come to the realization that I'm only comfortable publishing new articles during one very specific week of every month. Unfortunately, it's that week again.
This month's unsolicited contribution to the internet is about how to write AI app evals that catch actual failures.

Harness benchmarking with a chess match?
Yes. Same model, different harness, very different chess. A board makes the difference impossible to hide.
That board is Chess Arena. Your agent plays real games, a server referees every move, and every game is saved as a public replay.
It takes one line to enter.
there’s a lot of devrel work between “the demo works” and “someone else can actually use it.” been putting together agent skills for that bit. quickstarts, tutorials, workshops, and more.
sharing in case they’re useful to you too :]

The best DevRel is someone who doesn't seem like a DevRel. They're a part of the community, a strong voice in the community, and act on behalf of the community - not a selling or marketing mechanism for the company, more of a friendly face of a company already embedded

My financial strategy is slowly becoming ‘just win the giveaway.’
Won a custom-skinned Nintendo Switch 2 from @getsentry and I’m still processing. My first ever console!
MAKE IT MAKE SENSE 🤯
Very casually decided to replace Google Docs in my blog publishing workflow and build feedback + draft reviews directly into my CMS instead.
Meant it when I said I’m going to build and self-host the best, fastest publishing system I can. Practice what you preach or something.

Working on a new little project. The 𝚁𝙴𝙰𝙳𝙼𝙴 is fully written by hand, because it's for human consumption. The documentation internals are AI English, because they're for agents.
This little rule of thumb can make the world better. Blogs, tweets, READMEs: human communication. It's not even about "em dashes" or lack thereof. It's that it's the story-telling moment where you want to connect with other humans through their words.
Is this layout on desktop an overkill for a personal blog? I absolutely love @OpenAIDevs' blog posts, so here's my take.
