So, Tala Prattoy 2027 will be done by Anirban Das & Sanatan Dinda. For the first time since 2016 (when they got popular), they'll be doing a bright pandal. Susanta Shibani Paul, for being anti-BJP & BJP's culprit behind the Chorebagan tragedy, has been removed. Unfortunate.

It would be a solid idea to import these pandals, and exhibit at the next Durga Puja in Kolkata. In this way, those clubs will earn more money, and we too will get to experience such grandeur. They can also import from us, in the same way we supply to Chandannagar & Barasat.

All of these Durga Pujas are funded primarily by the locals, and are done on very low budgets (₹10-15L). The Govt. of Bangladesh and many companies also support them. Chittagong also deserves recognition, just like Kolkata. Go to Instagram or YouTube, and experience them!

I fear that Durga Puja 2027 will be as bad, if not worse. With 2029 approaching, we'll also have more propaganda themes. We may have more restrictions on themes & VIP passes, citing the Chorebagan tragedy. Photography may also become a thing for the influencers only.

Durga Puja 2026 was arguably the worst one in years. The Chorebagan incident, lack of many memorable pandals, uncertainties, fear, and everything made it a memorable festival for the wrong reasons. I have written why in detail. Give it a read, if possible.
