Flag football isn’t a panacea. Maybe, though, it’s a possibility — one that doesn’t eliminate risk, but reduces it, that doesn’t represent opportunities for all but expands opportunities for some. hubs.ly/Q03HRpLw0

I'm working on an article that is, essentially, a collection of maternal stressors, for the sake of some "oh hey, me too" and/or "oh hey, maybe I could help the moms in my life." I need 3 more responses from moms. Just 10 words-ish about what is stressing you out! Reply or DM.

Jennifer's allegation of forced sexual assault has been consistent from the very first report. Those she disclosed to, knew this. She wanted to spare his family the graphic details. That desire made impossible now.

When people ask, "Why don't more women come forward?" I think of Jennifer Lyell. Evil people hounded her, harassed her, and relentlessly attacked her. These words, by @kkdumez are haunting:

Do not let all of the posts talking about how kind Jen Lyell was distract you from the fact that she was probably the smartest person in almost any room. And if you were in one of those rooms and disagree, there’s a good chance it’s only because Jen was being kind.

“My biggest concern for the church is that we will see the abuse revelations and resulting conversations as some sort of cultural phenomenon that we need to ride out instead of recognizing it as a movement of God to purify and protect his bride.” Jen Lyell christianitytoday.com/2019/0…

I had the honor of meeting Jen once, during which I got to witness her caring for fellow abuse survivors. As those who knew Jen much better will tell you, she loved people, books, and the truth of Jesus. And now, as @megannlively put it, she is at peace. christianitytoday.com/2025/0…

If I were to describe spiritual maturity, it would probably involve some depth of understanding that we cannot micromanage other people's sanctification. It's like, our understanding of God's faithfulness gets bigger, as our understanding of our all-knowing-ness gets shattered.

My team shot this amazing short film in one weekend. It's about parenting, conversation, and the things that keep us from each other. It's also about faith. I'm so proud of it. Please watch The Drive! youtube.com/watch?v=JmXBIzAk…
