If Eisenkot and co show enough courage to cobble together a coalition with Arab-led parties, they'll be able to adopt a new social contract for Israel and integrate 20 percent of their citizenry in unprecedented ways.
The new government will have new levels of good-faith in the region and able to expand a circle of peace with Arab neighbors. Arab members of the government can become emissaries to Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries.
It will also be a PR coup for Israel and improves its image abroad.

BREAKING: Israeli settlers attacked journalists Adele Shoko, Andrey X and Jasper Nathaniel in Umm al-Khair, Masafer Yatta, in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday, according to Shoko.
Shoko said the settlers beat them, threatened to shoot them, stole Andrey’s phone and her glasses, and pepper-sprayed Nathaniel.

🔴 BREAKING | At Least 14 Killed in Saudi Airstrikes on Crowded Market in Yemen
Saudi airstrikes targeted Al-Hazm market in Yemen’s northern Al-Jawf governorate on Wednesday, killing at least 14 people and wounding 15 others, including women and children, according to Ansarallah’s Al Masirah news.
The Sana’a-based Health Ministry said the strikes hit the market while it was crowded with shoppers, as well as nearby residential buildings and a fuel station, causing extensive damage.

In recent hours, many have been wondering why Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf was absent from yesterday’s talks in Tehran with representatives of the Mecca Pact.
In my reading:
- Ghalibaf, who has been identified as a key figure in Iran’s negotiations with the United States, is directly associated with a separate diplomatic track that may eventually also involve nuclear issues.
Interestingly, he was in Tehran yesterday. He attended parliamentary meetings, while a previously scheduled foreign trip had reportedly been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
- My sense is that his absence may have been deliberate. By keeping Ghalibaf out of the meetings, the Iranian leadership could have wanted to signal, including symbolically, that consultations with Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey are distinct from negotiations with Washington.
- In other words, Tehran may be trying to preserve a visible separation between two diplomatic tracks: regional consultations with key regional powers on the one hand, and direct negotiations with the US on the other.
- This does not necessarily mean that the two processes are unrelated. They clearly have points of contact. But keeping them formally separate may be politically important for Tehran, particularly given the sensitivity of any future negotiations involving the nuclear file.
- Of course, this remains my interpretation.

Yemen has suffered tremendously since the Saudi-led war began in 2015. Yet only now have Saudi regime propaganda outlets (like the one below) discovered the humanitarian suffering in Yemen—and only in one particular area.
GENEVA, Oct 26 (Reuters) - Fuel shortages in Yemen's besieged city of Taiz have forced one hospital to cut the number of incubators it can operate from 40 to 10, putting newborn babies at risk as weeks of fighting choke off vital supplies and deepen a humanitarian crisis affecting hundreds of thousands of people.
"There's no oxygen, there's no fuel to run the incubators, to keep the babies warm," said Nada Ahmed, a nurse in the neonatal unit of the Yemeni-Swedish Hospital for Maternity and Childhood.
Nawal Najeeb, a supervisor in the neonatal unit, warned the facility could be forced to halt operations if fuel supplies do not arrive.
"It will be a catastrophe for the babies, a catastrophe of deaths and disabilities."
Taiz has been largely isolated since October 3, with fightingpreventing humanitarian supplies from entering and civilians from leaving, following an escalation in clashes between the Saudi-backed government and the Iran-aligned Houthi movement.
