It is 5:30am, and I was woken up to my husband and 2 year daughter having a hushed debate next to his side of the bed.
Husband: Baby, it’s too early, go back to bed.
Daughter: Daddy, bear?
Husband: No we are not watching Masha and the Bear. It’s too early for bear. Go back to sleep.
Daughter: Boobie, yes?
Husband: Mummy has boobie, go get her.
Daughter: Daddy boobie
Husband: No, stop trying to poke them. Go ask Mummy for boobie.
Daughter: Bite?
Husband: No, we don’t bite!
Daughter: Yes, bite boobie!
Husband: No you cannot bite my boobie! Argh!
She clearly tried to bite him (yes we’re in that phase, yay) as I could hear him essentially wrestling her off until she crawled across him to me for a cuddle and fell back to sleep.

i think one of the biggest signs of maturity is realizing you don’t have to respond to everything that annoys you.

Admitting you don't know something immediately shuts down a trap; pretending to know gives a manipulator total control over your ignorance.

Remember if you ever call a
neurodivergent person
"dramatic" just remember that they
feel emotions 10x more than a neurotypical person..
